    • Today is the last Sunday in our 2025-2026 Church Conference year. Pastor and Lady Gladney thank everyone for your prayers and support this year and look forward to serving Emmanuel again next year.

    • Please vote in Virginia’s Special Election by April 21, 2026. Early voting is ongoing and ends April 18, 2026. The deadline to register to vote is April 14, 2026. VOTE!!
    • Tithing is a Christian Stewardship discipline through which believers worship God equally in their giving. As we look ahead, please make and honor your commitment to tithe.
    • The Washington Annual Conference will be held at Ebenezer AME Church, 7707 Allentown Road, Ft. Washington, Maryland 20744 on April 14-18, 2026. All members are invited. Ushers are needed to support the conference. If you are available to serve please contact our Church Office.
    • Tax Day is Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Please ensure to file your taxes on time.
    • Our Youth and Young Adults will lead our 11:00 A.M. worship service on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
    • A memorial service for Rev. Nailah Jaha will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Emmanuel. All members are encouraged to send reflections of their time with her to the Church Office by April 14, 2026 to be printed in the memorial bulletin.

Weekly Activities & Events

    • Our Emmanuel Family Time Hour will be held each Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. via ZOOM. This is our time of prayer, study, and fellowship together as a Church family. Everyone is asked to please join the meeting.
    • Our Thurman Brisben Feeding is held every 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:00 A.M.  (Please arrive by 6:45 A.M.) Volunteers are always welcome! Please contact Sis. Lattreta White to sign up.
    • Our Praise Team rehearsal is held each Thursday at 7:00 P.M. at the Church.
    • Our Evangelism, Witnessing, and Outreach Ministry invites everyone to help win souls for the Lord.
    • Volunteers are needed to help with our Bread of Life Food Pantry and Clothes Closet on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., respectively. Please help us minister to the community’s needs!
    • Everyone is encouraged to maintain their Christian stewardship in 2026 by giving tithes, offerings, and benevolence, and by making sacrificial offerings consistently throughout the year.

 The word “THRIVE” conveys a general sense of effort, diligence, and earnest endeavor in pursuit of a goal. It suggests not merely attempting but earnestly working towards something significant, often with a spiritual or moral implication.
